Hocus Pocus Tour 2026

Hocus Pocus, a quintet originating from Nantes, France, coalesced in the late 1990s, bringing together the talents of MC 20Syl, DJ Greem, and guitarist Hervé Salters, later joined by bassist Matthieu Lades and drummer Antoine Saint-Jean. Their sound is a meticulous blend of live instrumentation and sampled elements, deeply rooted in jazz-funk traditions while embracing the rhythmic complexities of hip-hop. This fusion results in a sophisticated, groove-laden sonic landscape, characterized by crisp drum breaks, fluid basslines, intricate guitar riffs, and the distinctive turntable work of DJ Greem, all underpinning 20Syl's articulate and often introspective French-language rhymes. Their compositions frequently feature brass arrangements and soulful vocal hooks, creating a rich, organic texture that distinguishes them within the broader hip-hop spectrum.
